Smooze USA Website Design
Smooze USA is a division of a Southern California Asian foods distributor, Takari International. Takari International has the exclusive rights to distribute this brand in the United States and Canada.
The site that we replaced had several drawbacks which we helped our client to address. It was very static. It provided very limited information. The product marketing was weak. There was no brand positioning. There was an opportunity to expand the target market beyond young children. It lacked photography. The color palette was amateurish.
Because A-Cubed Marketing Services has nearly thirty-years of experience marketing food and beverage products, we were the ideal partner for this project.
We provided the missing marketing pieces and made the following contributions to the project:
Consumer branding/ lifestyle design approach
We started with a small base of original photography that the manufacturer provided. Then we added a significant amount of stock photography. We selected a color palette that represents the native island colors from the South Pacific. Finally, we chose several fun type fonts that perfectly reflect Smooze’s brand personality. Finally, the end result is a website that communicatedsthe fun, flavor, nutritional benefit and broad consumer appeal of the product line.
The original website exclusively positioned Smooze as a children’s product. However, we recognized the broad market applications that Smooze offers. We wrote from the perspective that Smooze offers nutritional advantages that the entire family can enjoy. Beyond just selling the product line, we also provided useful information on the nutritional benefits of the main ingredients found in the product. We also added a page of recipe ideas that will inspire additional product use.
We added a store-front to the site, as well as integrating a store tab onto the client’s Facebook business page. We also integrated PayPal and Stripe to support the billing process.
Social media integration
In the coming months, A-Cubed Marketing will expand our marketing efforts on the brand to include social media marketing.
