Hines Pool and Spa Website Development
Initially, this client came to us for assistance in SEO, content marketing and social media marketing. They were so pleased with our work in these areas that they eventually also asked us to build a new site for them to communicate a much more professional look and feel.
Hines Pool & Spa has a history of over 35 years in the Central Texas region and has grown to become the #1 pool and spa management firm in the region. Much of the company’s early success hinged on the owner’s personal relationships with his customers. Of course, as the company grew, that personal touch got more difficult to still provide.
Over the years that the former website was in use, several aspects about it became very frustrating for customers and employees alike. Our website development work addressed these issues nicely.
Several noteworthy points about this website development on this project include:
Open navigation – During the time that Hines Pool operated their previous site, customers and employees alike had expressed difficulty in locating important pages on the site.
To simplify things, we hit on the idea of providing links to as number of key pages in the homepage footer.
Newsletter Subscription – As the client’s customer list has grown into the thousands, the newsletter A-Cubed Marketing writes for the company, “A Dash of Splash” has become an important method to stay in touch with the customers. Adding the subscription link has led to increases in the subscription list, and reduced bounce rates.
Video Integration – The owner and his managers have built credibility and developed excellent customer relationships through annual CPO certification classes. As an added ‘free service’ to clients and as a means of maintaining and building customer relationships, we recommended a pool-cleaning video series taught by the owner. While these videos physically reside on YouTube, they all stream through the site. Besides the relationship building aspect, these videos also increase site traffic and extend time on site/ time on page.
E-Commerce – Hines Pool also sells pool chemicals and related products. Previously, this was a ‘cash and carry’ aspect of the business. By adding an e-commerce section to the site, Hines Pool’s product sales have also increased.
