In 2012, I was heading the marketing efforts for the US division of a major Asian food manufacturer. It was my twentieth year in a a successful run in corporate marketing, where I’d also held Director positions with major Fortune 100 companies including ConAgra Foods and DeVry University. Unfortunately, the US division went ‘belly-up’. Assessing the situation, I decided to hang my own shingle and I founded A-Cubed Marketing Services. This was a boot strapping situation that took every bit of my time, and accumulated skills to succeed.
Stepping out of a major corporation, where the marketing budget was much bigger than the annual sales of most small businesses, I had to learn to do much more with much less. I’ve built my company on the merits of my experience, education, creativity and a sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of my customers. None of it has been ‘easy’; and the learning has been the greatest experience of my professional life. I know, first hand, how it feels to start a business.
